Product 9/10
This unit also has a very large detector, with a diameter of 45 mm (1.75 in), increasing the efficiency of radioactivity detection, and offering excellent sensitivity to low levels of Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and X-rays. See picture at right. This feature makes the Inspector suitable for applications requiring higher levels of sensitivity such as checking food for radioactive contamination.
With the recent addition of a user-settable Audible Alert, the Inspector has been re-named the Inspector + or Inspector Alert. This is the same alert feature as is found on the Radalert 50. The controls are on the top panel of the unit (see photo).
The Inspector also includes an adjustable timer used to set sampling periods of 1 minute, 10 minutes, or 1 hour, up to 24 hours. See the photo above.
This unit also has an output port to record counts on a computer or data logger, as shown in the picture below. Select the navigation button above or click on this link for more on Data Output and Software. This port can alternatively be used for audio output through earphones. An external calibration port is also located on the side of the instrument.
The Inspector also comes with a padded vinyl carrying case (below) with belt clip. Select the navigation button above, or click here for detailed Specifications on the Inspector.
The Inspector is a very popular unit. If you want a Pocket Geiger Counter with excellent sensitivity, user-adjustable audible alert, a timer and/or data port, and prefer a digital readout versus an analog meter, we recommend this unit.
The Inspector will come with either the blue and yellow accents on the control panel as shown at top, or in the classic Black and Silver color scheme shown at right.
This item typically ships within 24 hours.
